The new website launched in October 2020 with a focus on appealing to young men interested in joining the priesthood.
The aim of the redesign was to create a mobile-friendly and bilingual (English and Spanish) website with resources for people thinking of joining the priesthood.
There is also an internal members section for a primarily senior audience and ensuring the website was compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) was a priority.
I met with relevant departments to establish goals and liaised with UX designers to ensure the organization’s needs came to fruition.
To measure the website’s impact, there is an emphasis on directing visitors to fill out the form to contact the vocations director. This allows the Congregation of St. Basil to track the number of applicants, where they are from, and how they heard about the Congregation to measure the success of the website.
